New Features:

Image Viewer will update if you switch back to a folder with a preexisting selection.
Folder names are still displayed when other file info is hidden.
Marks are still displayed when other file info is hidden.
Simplified hotkeys for Drop Locations: Command-# is now used for move (rather than Option-Command-#). Option-Command-# will now copy files to the Drop Location, and Control-Command-# will make aliases of the files in the Drop Location.
Altered Drop Locations menu so it now works more sensibly.
Improved efficiency when removing files from the Sidebar.
Improved efficiency in the file-tracking subsystem.

Bugs Fixed:

Selecting a batch rename preset from a menu works properly again.
Corrected odd behavior when rotating image files in the Thumbnail Pane.

New Features:

By default, the Sidebar can no longer take focus, similar to the simpler and less confusing behavior of Finder’s and Mail’s sidebars. This means no keyboard navigation, and main menu commands such as “Move to Trash” or “Duplicate” cannot affect selected files, etc. Don’t worry, the previous more advanced functionality can be enabled by checking the appropriate box in your Sidebar preferences!
Improved responsiveness after file move/copy/update.
Hopefully the Slideshow and Batch Rename services will appear more reliably after this update.
If a Slideshow service is started with just a single file, the slideshow will start with the full contents of that file’s parent folder.
Added option to Thumbnail Pane preferences to automatically select the first file when loading a folder.

Bugs Fixed:

Fixed a bug in minimizing the Sidebar by dragging it closed.

Efficiency improvements in the file-tracking subsystem.
PDFs can now be dropped onto the gBrowser icon.
Images are removed from the slideshow when moved into a Drop Location.
Slideshow now displays current slide index next to filename.
Added “Slideshow” as an OS X service. Now in addition to the “Batch Rename” service, you can start slideshows in gBrowser from the selected files in the Finder via the contextual menu or Services menu (10.6 users might need to enable the Slideshow service in the Keyboard Shortcuts system preferences).

Bugs Fixed:

Fixed a bug in drag-and-drop to the Thumbnail Pane.
Fixed a bug that could cause a crash when viewing or sorting by image metadata.

New Features:

Improved “new slideshow” menu item behaviors. To decrease confusion, slideshow source is now solely based on Thumbnail Pane contents rather than Thumbnail Pane or Sidebar depending on which had focus.
Added option in Thumbnail Pane preferences to select the next file when you remove (by moving or deleting) the current selection.
Added option in application preferences to open browser window to an image’s parent folder when opening an image and no browser window is already open.

New Features:

Reorganized main menus for better clarity.
Added key commands for Back/Forward in navigation history.
Holding option while using the scroll wheel in slideshows will go to previous/next image.
Holding option while dragging the thumbnail size slider will force thumbnail sizes to the maximum width that fits in the current browser window.
Added a menu option to scroll the Thumbnail Pane to the first selected item.
Minor speed and efficiency improvements, especially when working with large numbers (thousands) of files.

Bugs Fixed:

Fixed a bug in the Image Viewer that could cause a crash.
“Go to parent folder” works in the Sidebar again.
Slideshows can now be started properly when focus is on the Sidebar.

Grouped some of the thumbnail information (megapixels, dimensions, and portrait/landscape) together under “dimensions”. You might have to re-select the “dimensions” display option.
Added exposure info and hardware info display option for thumbnails.
Added sort options: Exposure time, f Stop, ISO, Focal Length, and Camera Model.

New Features:

Browser window can now be made fullscreen (View > Toggle Fullscreen).
Improved fullscreen behavior in slideshows and Image Viewer.
Drop Locations appear in slideshow contextual menu.
New setting in Sidebar prefs for “Preferred root folder” allows you to choose a preferred folder to use as the root of the sidebar when opening folders by dropping them on the gBrowser icon or option-clicking them in the Thumbnail Pane to open them in a new window.
The top level of the filesystem now displays your system’s name rather than just “Computer.”
